The Colour Scheme - A/W 15

I've always wondered if there is a fixed colour scheme that one must adopt during a particular season. For instance, summer usually reveals a pastel blue, green, pink and yellow colour scheme in the streets. You might also find that there are various prints and bright colours that are found on every item possible.

Winter for me usually entails a lot of black, white and grey. Monotone colours is simplistic and can be styled in various ways. This season was no different for me except front he fact that I'm now more of a stylish comfort dresser. This usually involves a fitted pair of jogging bottoms, polo neck top and a pair of trainers. Although, this is usually only for my 9am lectures. Being warm and comfy is incredibly essential for this season as the winter nights can be quite brutal. Nevertheless, it is nice to add a stylish piece of clothing to create the final look. For me, its usually a jacket.
Here are some of the examples that I'm loving for this season in line with my preferred colour scheme.

Jumper: Primark
Shirt: George
Jeans: Warehouse
Boots (not really seen): New Look

Adding colour to my outfits this season has been a complete myth for some reason. Black has clearly won me over. However, when I spotted this jumper in Primark, I just needed to have it. Paring it with a plain, white, crisp shirt gave it a smart yet casual look that I absolutely adored and received a lot of compliments from.

The new time zone is really not on my side as it gets so dark easily and I come home late because I usually stay in the library after school to revise. Oh well, this will have to do.

Enjoy..

Dark Knit

As I Recently stated in my previous post, I'm an avid lover of the colour black , so I thought I'd create a look with some of the items I'm loving and hoping to purchase in the next upcoming weeks. Who says you can't wear black and look stylish?

How you all style an all black outfit?

Style revolutions: My style journey

As many of you previously saw in my last post, I traveled to Ghana for the summer and I must say that in did change a lot of things about me. Being there reminded of the fact that I don't need to dress for anyone but myself and ultimately my happiness. This has made me really want to show off my style based on who I am and a lot of inspiration from the world around me and by doing that I will need to stop hiding in my room and reminiscing over the clothes I know is really hard to get and start to focus on the more realistic things in life. Fashion is not only about trends, its also about your identity and how you are able to reflect your emotion, personality and feeling through you sense of style

I will be showcasing more OOTD and my monthly favorite from high street stores and outlets. Hopefully i can stick to my word and actually have the courage to showcase it. I will try my best though because i am now in in sixth form so I am trying to create a schedule around my work and blogging because, to be honest blogging, writing, reading and creating/styling looks is my stress reliever so it is nice to just sit on my laptop, reply to emails and messages whiles stumbling across inspirational style images on Tumblr.

Be happy in your own skin, smile about your style and as Shameless Maya says, DO YOU BOO!

LFW Outfit

Sorry this post is so long overdue as fashion week ended last week Tuesday but my textiles coursework has just been so time consuming and even though
I'm not completely finished, I thought I'd take a brake and gets a post up.

This outfit was so last minute as I had another outfit in mind before this but the weather decided to be cold and windy...sigh. It was comfortable and apparently the jacket is quite trendy because, I saw a couple of people wearing similar ones or if not the same jacket as I was and it looked really good. I also got photographed by 2 people which I was so thrilled about but,  I just wish I had brought a better bag with me but I'll just have to wait until the next LFW whereby I will be much more prepared.

What I'm wearing:
Jacket: Internationale
Trousers: New Look
Earrings: Primark
Shoes: Primark
Top: New Look
